lionel Cohen has spent years exploring the creative possibilities of Artificial Intelligence across a variety of formats — cementing his status as an innovator and forward-thinker at the leading edge of machine-assisted creativity.
Music is only one frontier. His AI work extends to visual art as Left of the Left, and into fashion and clothing as The Filth Foundation — demonstrating that the language of AI speaks fluently across disciplines.
These releases span everything from ethereal new age and melancholic piano to retro house, children's soundscapes, horror scores, and world music — all originating from AI-generated composition, then shaped by human hands and distributed globally under carefully crafted fictional personas and the expansive Wallpaper X production catalog.
How It's Made
None of these tracks are a single prompt turned straight into a finished audio file. AI models are used to generate raw MIDI — the underlying notes, melodies, and arrangements — which then goes through a full, hands-on production process helmed by lionel Cohen: selecting and sound-designing every instrument, editing and arranging the performance, mixing, mastering, and shaping the final sonic identity of each release.
